The weekend was great, even though I had to work Saturday. Went out on Saturday night with a bunch of friends for dinner and then we headed over to a pub to listen to the band.
It was smoky and crowded, two of my greatest dislikes but I ended up having a really good time. My friends and I were acting like total idiots, having the time of our lives not really caring if the rest of the people around us thought we were morons. And this is before they started drinking. No one got drunk, I think we're all a little too old for that.
Out of the whole crowd, we could only spot 3 reasonably good looking men. Actually 2, cos one of them later turned out to be a girl. Oops.
The chick parade however, was out in full force. I lost count of the number of mini skirts, skimpy tops and revealing bras.
We made a few points last night, 1) Don't try to rub us at any time, or you might suffer a fate worse than death. ( Ask the guys standing in front of the bar if you don't believe me )
2) When you go out with a bunch of girls, people tend to assume that you must be lesbian. It does not help if you are sharing a chair, a drink, hugging and grinning stupidly at each other ever so often. ( One of our guy friend's girlfriend was completely freaked out by us last night and is convinced there is a threesome going on somewhere) I don't think she'll be asking us out again anytime soon.
