I So Stupid

Despite my reservations about leaving the two cats alone for the night, I was soooo happy to be home. My dog welcomed me back so enthusiastically you would think I had gone for years ( don't you just love dogs?) Oh, before that, let me tell you what an idiot I was/ am?
Anyway, like I said, I was going home on Friday. Technically you need keys to enter the house, either that or someone should be at home to open the door for you. Guess what? I had neither keys nor was anyone home. SIGH. Being the idiot that I am, I had left the keys with the cats. ( Now, what the hell would the cats need my keys for?! My stupidity amazes me)

The nearest family member who had keys was my brother and he was all the way at the other side of TLOTW. I travelled all the way to the Turf Club, tired and irritated with myself. hoping to just get the keys and GO HOME. No luck, one of our horses just happened to win the race while I was there and hence, I had to go in and celebrate with the owners. What made everything worse was that they kept offering me champange. In order not to be rude, I had one glass, knowing I would regret it later.

True enough, ten minutes later I had the worst headache ever. I collected the keys, caught a cab and just went home to relax, NOT. My mini zoo at home needed and wanted my attention. Picture this, I'm feeding my hamsters and Zack the dog is resting his head on my lap, pawing my hand asking me to pat him. When I turned my attention to Zack, the two hamsters started chewing on their cages demanding that I take them out for a little run in their hamster ball.
